A lesson for all of us on not letting frustrating driving conditions get out of control. We're calling this "Frustration Driving" 101.
We've all had an impatient driver come up on us in a hurry, tailgating to the point of concern, quickly cutting around and then in front of us. Ugh! Many of us have to force ourselves to remember that trying to do anything about that situation as it's happening can lead to a road rage incident that may not end well.
My main point today, though, is about getting caught in long freeway back-ups because of something beyond our control: like Saturday's complete closure of the southbound I-15 lanes at Primm. No matter how frustrated you might be, it's illegal to use the left and right shoulders as travel lanes. Twitter user @supernananorma took photos of drivers not only using the shoulder of the freeway around jean - but also dangerously getting into off-road driving. Hello???
Even if NHP troopers hadn't already had their hands full with the aftermath of a 9-vehicle pile-up and could have ticketed all those violators, we've all *got* to let common sense take over especially when driving conditions *don't* make sense.
Buckle up, drive carefully - - and put down that phone!
