LAS VEGAS - Getting squeezed on the 95 - and maybe even brought to a complete stop
This is up in the far northwest - where frequent drivers are well aware of the ongoing freeway expansion work.
NDOT crews will not only have you down to one lane in both directions from 9 Wednesday night until 5 Thursday morning, they want to make sure you're aware that you could be stopped in your tracks for up to half an hour at a time.
Northbounders on the 95, the single lane will be around Ann Rd. Southbounders, it's at Durango.
They're also taking away the ramp to the southbound lanes at Durango, and the ramp to northbound at Buffalo.
N-dot's not saying you *will* be stopped for half an hour during this overnight period, but if you're concerned about not being able to get where you need to go, you might want to take surface streets. Durango, Ft Apache, Centennial Center and even Elkhorn and Tenaya can get you down to Ann Rd for southbounders - or up to the north 95 at Durango to skip the single lane.
