Digging into the “Driving You Crazy” email bag.
No answers yet to a couple of problems, but let’s see what’s on your mind. Jodi in the southwest valley wants to know – – –
”Is there any way to find out if/when the city plans to widen Warm Springs between Tenaya and Buffalo in the Southwest? It’s single-lane in each direction and it’s regularly bottled up any time of the day.”
Jodi, I think that’s a Clark County issue, so I’ll forward this on to Dan Kulin over there. If you’ve been driving in that part of town for the last year or three you know things *have* improved a little since the construction over on Warm Springs and Buffalo *finally* finished after what felt like forever. But we’ll see what Dan says about the single lane issue.
Now let’s check in with Tracy, who writes about the far northwest
”When traveling east on Lone Mountain and turning left on Fort Apache, there is no speed limit sign. Ft Apache is 45mph and should be posted. People go way below 45 as they don’t know. They have also made that intersection a four-way stop. That’s going to cause accidents.”
Tracy, I think this, too, is a county issue. Let me find out about getting some speed limit signs there. But I gotta tell you that it may not be a bad problem to have if people are going *slower* than the speed limit. If there’s no posted sign, some drivers put the pedal to the metal. And a four-way stop usually *prevents* crashes.
Buckle up, drive carefully and put down that phone!
