A closure of the turn-off that takes you from the 95 freeway up to Kyle Canyon on Mt Charleston
Have you seen a picture of what the intersection of the 95 and the road to Mt Charleston will look like when the $78 million dollar project is finished? [see video] It’s going to have a modified diverging diamond component – similar to the one in Henderson off the 95/515 at Horizon Drive. The heart of the project is the six mile widening of the freeway from Ann Road to Kyle Canyon. Here’s the hold-up for both tonight and tomorrow night: you won’t be able to get off the *northbound* 95 at Kyle Canyon. It starts at 7pm Monday and Tuesday night, running until 7am Tuesday and 5am Wednesday. You can still get up to the 157 – but you have to plan ahead by getting on to Oso Blanca as far back as Grand Teton or before. It turns into the frontage road to the west of the 95 and eventually leads to the 157.
Buckle up, drive carefully and put down that phone!
